Job summary

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring an experienced Class A Yard Driver to support our Ontario, CA distribution center. You will move trailers in and out of dock doors, perform pre- and post-operation checks, and input data into the Yard Management System.

The position offers 5:00am–5:30pm shifts on Sat, Sun, and Mon, with starting pay of $26.50/hour and eligibility for a monthly bonus up to $1.05/hour. Benefits include a 401(k) with company match and comprehensive health plans.

Qualifications

• Licensed forklift operator in propane counterbalance, propane exchange and electric
• Ability to operate a Yard Truck in extreme tight quarters
• Driving school and/or safety certifications preferred
• Experience within a warehouse/distribution environment
• Knowledge of safety practices for preoperational inspections of lift trucks
• Ability to work under time constraints with inventory accuracy
• Flexible with work schedule
• Self-motivated
• Ability to communicate with Team Leaders and Supervisors
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to read/understand SKUs and product
• Willingness to be cross trained
• Strong customer service orientation

Responsibilities

• Prioritize workload
• Performs inspection of vehicle prior to and after operation
• Moves trailers in and out of dock as directed by management
• Chocking trailers and nose supports for 28 ft trailers at dock doors
• Maintain orderly yard
• Inspect trailers prior to loading
• Input data into a Yard Management System
• Maintain a Level of Service within a 2 hour turnaround
• Ensure cleanliness of work area
• Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met
• Cross training as required
• Other duties as needed
