Job summary

Performance Team in California is seeking a Yard Driver to safely move trailers, trucks, and equipment within a busy yard. You will position trailers at docks, support yard organization, and coordinate with warehouse and transportation teams to keep operations efficient.

The role requires a valid driver's license (CDL may be needed), ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication. The position offers overtime and pay of $25 per hour, with benefits including medical,

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required.
• Experience operating yard tractors or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to maneuver in confined yard spaces safely.
• Accurate documentation of trailer movements and yard activity.
• Strong communication with dispatch, warehouse and transportation teams.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification may be required.
• Attention to safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate yard trucks, hostlers, and tractors.
• Move trailers between parking areas, docks, staging areas, and maintenance locations.
• Connect and disconnect trailers per procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Position trailers at dock doors and staging locations.
• Maintain records of trailer movements and yard activity.
• Communicate with dispatch and leadership about locations and priorities.
• Keep yard organized, secure, and safe.
• Follow safety procedures and DOT requirements.
• Report any damage immediately.
• Monitor equipment conditions and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with yard checks and trailer inventory.
• Operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment when trained.
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
