Job summary

Harbor Freight Tools is seeking a Yard Driver to operate yard trucks, shuttle trailers between locations, and ensure trailers are ready for loading and pickup. The role emphasizes safety and efficient yard organization.

You will work in a team, follow radio instructions, perform pre/post audits, and report issues. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $27 and benefits including medical/dental/vision and a 401k.

• Adherence to all company policies to include all safety rules
• Hooking and unhooking airlines to trailers
• Pre and Post Operation Audits
• Following instructions provided by two-way radio
• Reporting safety and mechanical issues promptly and accurately according to the standard operating procedure
• Support other departments of the Distribution Center as business requires
• Follow OSHA Regulations and all safety requirements
• Additional duties as assigned by manager

Job description

The Yard Driver operates yard trucks to shuttle trailers between designated locations and verifies trailer placement. This position will support the overall flow of freight by maintaining an organized yard, following safety protocols, and ensuring trailers are ready for loading, unloading, and Over the Road driver pickup.

The anticipated rate for this position is $27.00 per hour depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 152 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays).
