Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Regional Class A Dry Van Driver to join a safety-forward team in Baltimore, MD. The route runs from Baltimore, MD to Reidsville, NC and/or Tennessee, averaging 2,000–2,200 miles per week.

Drivers typically earn $80K–$110K annually with a $7,500 sign-on bonus. Expect weekly home time, and compensation includes hourly wages for on-duty non-driving time along with mileage pay.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Ability to effectively use mobile apps and computer software for operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the top priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Operates tractor-trailer units and other vehicles.
• Adheres to weight limits and proper unit utilization.
• Loads and unloads hazardous and non-hazardous waste, secures loads.
• Places placards according to DOT requirements.
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, and trip/inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times


• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles


• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units


• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads


• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations


• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

Qualifications

• Class A CDL


• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience


• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements


• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
