Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. is seeking a Regional Class A Tanker Driver to join our safety‑minded team in Baltimore, MD. The role involves operating tractor trailer tanker units, loading and unloading hazardous waste, and ensuring loads are secured per DOT rules.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Minimum 3 months of tanker experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Able to climb and work from heights and lift 50 lbs or more.
• Proficient using mobile apps and computer software for logs and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Operates tractor trailer tanker units.
• Adheres to weights and proper utilization of units.
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste; secures loads.
• Places standard placards per DOT requirements.
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports and inspection reports.

Job description

Clean Harbors is looking for a Regional Class A Tanker Driver to join their safety conscious team in Baltimore, MD! This route runs from Baltimore, MD to PA,VA and averages 60 hours per week.

About the role:

Drivers average $90-$120K per year

$7,500 sign-on-bonus available

Weekly home time

Compensation includes hourly wages (all on-duty non-driving time)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer tanker units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• Minimum 3 months of tanker experience
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to climb and work from heights
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
