Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a professional CDL A truck driver to operate tractor-trailers for freight transport, adhering to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies. You will conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate records, and ensure secure cargo handling across diverse terrains and schedules.

The role may include dock work, loading/unloading, and occasional over-the-road assignments based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Must be registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center/work assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 21 years of age with 1 year driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment to perform safety functions and drive in various terrains and conditions.
• Safely operate a tractor/trailer in compliance with FMCSA and company policies, including run times.
• Maintain records in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Comply with safety and hazardous materials transportation requirements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Interface with customers and handle loading/unloading as needed.
• Occasionally work dock, and may run over-the-road as business requires.
