Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Regional Class A Dry Van Driver to join their safety-conscious team in Akron, OH. This route runs from Akron, OH to El Dorado, AR and averages 2,700–2,900 miles per week.

Drivers average $80-$110K per year with a $7,500 sign-on bonus, weekly home time, and compensation that includes hourly wages for on-duty time and mileage pay.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements required or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety while following all policies and procedures.
• Operate tractor trailer units and other vehicles.
• Adhere to weight limits and properly utilize the units.
• Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste, secure loads.
• Placard vehicles per DOT requirements.
• Maintain logs, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspections.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
