Job summary

gpac is seeking a Project Manager for Commercial Construction in the Plano, Texas area on behalf of a respected general contractor. The role focuses on leadership of the project team, client relations, and delivering results on Class A Office TI projects.

The candidate will collaborate across teams, mentor staff, and drive procurement, cost control, scheduling, and reporting to ensure on-time, on-budget project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience managing commercial projects.
• Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods.
• Strong financial management skills and the ability to independently manage all aspects of a project from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Estimating during Preconstruction.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Mentor less experienced project management staff.
• Manage relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers and Subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor procurement and contracts.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, owner billings and project reporting.
• Ensure timely owner billings via verified quantities and progress.
• Forecast total costs at completion and monitor project schedules.
• Produce periodic progress updates.
