Job summary

Old Wisconsin is seeking a warehouse/materials handler to support incoming materials, inventory control, and plant organization in a fast-paced food processing facility.

You will load and unload trucks, enter data, and maintain AS/400 inventory counts. Responsibilities include cycle counts, vendor material flow, and ensuring safety and quality in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or 1–3 months' experience).
• Class A driver's license and forklift certification required.
• Ability to read basic English and perform simple math.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload trucks and verify incoming materials.
• Data entry and maintain accurate inventory in AS/400.
• Maintain plant organization and participate in month-end counts.
• Manage materials from vendors and issue purchase orders as needed.
• Ensure safe, quality food production and report safety issues.

Position Summary: This role is responsible for the incoming of material, managing inventory, and maintaining plant organization.Responsibilities/ Duties: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Minimum expectations include but are not limited to:Load/ unload trucks.Verify incoming materials.Data entry.Plant organization.Participate in month end inventory.Maintain accurate inventory counts in AS/400.Manage materials from vendors.Issue purchase orders.Cycle count materials.Take responsibility of work area to product a safe and quality food product. Reporting all food safety and quality related problems to your manager and to the QA department to initiate immediate action.Supervisory Responsibilities: No.Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, etc.:Required education high school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months' experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Class A Driver's License. Lift truck certification (walk behind or rider).Requires the ability to print and speak simple English sentences. Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.Requires the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.Requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.
