Job summary

Yarde Metals, Inc. is seeking a Class A Driver (1st Shift) to join the Fleet & Operations Team. The role involves safely operating a commercial truck to transport and deliver material to customers from 1 Yarde Drive.

Requirements include a valid Class A license and medical card, clean MVR, ability to operate an automatic transmission, and at least six months of CDL driving experience preferred. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, PTO and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Six months minimum CDL driving experience strongly preferred.
• Willingness to work required overtime.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, physical, and meet physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to pass a human performance evaluation (lifting, pushing, pulling up to 70 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial vehicle to transport and deliver material.
• Load and unload material.

• Verify material condition and quantities during loading/unloading.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs and any damages.
• Maintain a clean driving record.

Job Summary

Yarde Metals is looking for a Class A Driver to join our Fleet & Operations Team. A Class A Truck Driver safely operates a commercial truck to transport and deliver material to customers.

Job Responsibilities

• SAFETY FIRST!
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle.
• Load and unload material.
• Secure loads and assure they are within weight limits.
• Verify material condition and quantities during the loading/unloading process.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs.
• Report overages, shortages, and damaged material.
• Assist with loading and unloading material at points of delivery and pickup
• Comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor or group leader.
• Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
