Performance Food Group is hiring an entry level Driver Trainee to learn tractor trailer and local/OTR routes delivering food products to customers. This role includes hands-on training, safety inspections, and adherence to DOT regulations.

The position may involve overnight layovers with company-paid hotel accommodations and a food stipend, offering a pathway to a rewarding driving career with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 0-6 months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.
• Valid CDL A.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.

Responsabilités

• Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride with and assist driver trainer in deliveries.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations; report safety issues.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect trailer and freight; verify deliveries; collect signatures as required.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders per route schedule.
• Unload products; check items and paperwork; secure trailer and equipment.
• Maintain daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
