The Performance Food Group is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee in Columbus, OH to learn tractor trailer and straight truck routes, delivering and unloading products to customers. Training covers safety, DOT compliance, and proper paperwork while developing driving skills and customer service.

Role emphasizes safety, lifting up to 90 pounds, and adherence to company policies. Start date is immediate with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within the nation's food distribution

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• External entry: 0–6 months driving experience.
• Valid CDL A license.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• DOT Health Card current or able to obtain.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Able to pass post-offer drug test and road test.
• Ability to lift 60–90 pounds and operate loading equipment.

Responsabilités

• Attend and complete the Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride with trainer and assist with deliveries.
• Perform pre/post trip safety inspections per DOT.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect trailer loading and verify customer invoices.
• Drive to deliver orders and unload at customer locations.
• Obtain customer signatures and process payments as required.
• Secure equipment and complete paperwork at shift end.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
