Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a daytime, full-time Driver to transport, deliver and unload windows and patio doors to customers, dealers and job sites. You will spend about half your time loading/unloading and half driving, with 2–3 overnight trips per week.

The position requires a valid CDL A, clean driving record and DOT compliance, plus strong customer service and safety focus. Base pay is $31.00 per hour with additional benefits starting day 1.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• DOT compliance must be followed.
• 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience including winter driving.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math for receipts, maps and logs.
• Ability to follow instructions via on-board computer and phone.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to local construction sites, dealers and distribution centers and unload products.
• Maintain safe driving and top-notch customer service; overnight 2-3 times weekly.
• Read and understand highway signs, traffic signals and reports per DOT regulations.
• Keep driver logs, inspections and delivery documentation accurate and legible.
• Represent Cornerstone Building Brands professionally in appearance and behavior.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Load and unload trucks and assist team, with 5 to 12 stops in Central Washington market.
• Spend roughly 50% of time loading/unloading and 50% driving; 1–2 nights on the road.

JOB DETAILS

Pay: $31.00 per hour

Shift: Day Shift, Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport, deliver, and/or unload windows and patio door products to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers, and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This position in overnight 2-3 times a week.

• Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with general public, understand highway traffic signs/signals, respond to inquiries and to make entries on reports/records per DOT Reg 391.11
• Complete all assigned delivery routes. Driver will deliver to local construction jobsites and is responsible for manually offloading product
• Address customer questions, issues and concerns in a professional and timely fashion
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times in both actions and personal appearance
• Adhere to Cascade policies and procedures
• Complete all delivery and return documentation accurately and legibly
• Maintain driver logs and inspections
• Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and organized condition
• Uphold all safety practices according to safety handbook and DOT regulations
• Load and unload trucks and assist others with loading and unloading
• Do 5 to 12 stops in Central Washington market
• Will spend 50% time loading/unloading and 50% of the time driving
• Will spend one to two nights out on the road

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be DOT compliant
• 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with general mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, read road signs, maintain logs, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions and take directions via on-board computer system and by phone
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist with or without assistance
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and written
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced environment
