Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Vacaville, CA is hiring a Full-Time Delivery Driver to perform single and multi-drop deliveries for our exterior building products. Base pay starts at $34.00-$38.00 per hour for a Day shift, with benefits beginning on day one.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, safely operating a tractor-trailer, completing logs, and maintaining records in compliance with regulations. Prior CDL-A and 2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL License, clean MVR.
• Current Medical Card required for driving.
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience.

• Assist in loading/unloading, handle windows and doors as required.
• Maintain driver logs and records per state/federal regulations.

• May perform other duties as assigned.

Base pay starts at $34.00 - $38.00 per hour

Shift: Full Time Day Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivery to delegated locations using a Tractor-trailer truck driver to make single and multi-drop deliveries for Cornerstone Building Brands
• Safely assist in the loading and unloading of the product to customer’s location and/ or return products. (Driver will be required to handle the windows and doors)
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of windows and doors of varying weights
• Drive truck to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight loading dock areas
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, possible fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
• Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to the appropriate contact
• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL License, clean MVR, and current Medical Card
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Prior experience in construction field a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
• Experience driving commercial/residential construction job sites
