Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a driver in Caldwell, Idaho to transport building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites using a tractor-trailer. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to tarp loads and operate a trailer-mounted forklift.

Base pay starts at $28.00–$30.00 per hour with a sign-on bonus of $8,000. Shifts run Sunday through Friday, with some local deliveries and potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record.
• 2 years of commercial truck driving experience required.
• Willing to tarp loads using Conestoga XP Roll Tarps and strap flatbed loads.
• Ability to operate a trailer-mounted forklift.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites using a tractor-trailer.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment.
• Follow DOT guidelines and safety procedures.
• Load/unload using Manitou or Moffett; assist with load checks.
• Occasional weekend work and flexible hours.

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Sign-on Bonus: $8,000
Shift: Sunday - Friday, this position will primarliy be over the road with some local deliveries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands-on delivery driving position some Weekends may be required based on business needs.

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Occasional Weekend work
• Flexible work hours
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience required (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Clean driving record
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Operate trailer mounted forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
