Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines in Spokane, WA is seeking a Line Driver with a Class A CDL for evening shift. Competitive mileage pay plus hourly pay and benefits.

You will safely operate tractor-trailer units between terminals, adapt to weather, and meet reliability standards while supporting weekend/night shifts if needed. Requirements include 21+, CDL with Hazmat/Tanker/Triples endorsements, 1 year verifiable experience, clean driving record, DOT medical card, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapt to challenging conditions such as inclement weather and road conditions.
• Meet the Company's reliability standards for employees.
• Chain as needed and work in inclement weather.
• Available to work weekends and/or nights if needed.

Competitive Mileage Pay

• Earn between $0.67 to $0.76 per mile. Plus, you get an extra $0.03 per mile for triples.
• Get compensated for every drop, hook, CHAINING, and fuel.
• We value your time and pay you for your wait time.
• Hourly pay $28.87 to $32.64 doe.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently tractor trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapting to challenging conditions like inclement weather and various road conditions.
• Ability to meet the Company’s reliability standard for employees.
• Ability to chain as needed and to work in inclement weather is required.
• Availability to work weekends and/ or nights if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Must have a clean driving record. No DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in the last 3 years.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication.

• Employee pays up to 2% of gross income.
• Employee and Family pays up to 4% of gross income.

• Accrue 80 hours of PTO within the first 11 months.
