About Climate Express

Climate Express has been transporting full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. We employ 200 company drivers who help supply families across America with essential household goods. Our fleet features safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and reliable home time. We are a team committed to getting things done together.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760 trucks, automatic transmission. Features include ergonomic seats, perfect steering position, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverters, dual antennas, flat screen TV mounts, satellite radios, right way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. Maintenance is supported by an on-site repair facility and wash bay.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from .55 to .58 cents per mile, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pay for detention, layover, and other circumstances is determined per load and hours. Drivers can expect an average weekly pay of $2,600 to $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit with no hold periods.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Some drivers may stay out longer and receive up to 4 days off, with prior written agreement. Home time needs should be communicated to dispatch. We try to accommodate special events and appointments.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over 55% being drop-and-hook. The rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We operate dry van and reefer trailers (climate-controlled, no slaughterhouses or fresh meat). Routes mainly in the US middle corridor, avoiding New York City, ports, borders, and west of Denver, CO. Freight is mostly contracted, utilizing major highways and pilot/fueling points.

Additional Policies

Passenger policy allows 1 passenger aged 12 or older, available from day one. Pet policy permits 2 small dogs or 1 large dog with a $500 fee and $100 weekly deduction until paid off. No policies for cats, reptiles, or birds.
