Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. Our 200 company drivers keep families supplied with essential household goods. We operate safe Volvo tractors with all the latest features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together, we can get things done.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. Features include ergonomically designed seats, perfect steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges, on-site repair facility, and wash bay.

Pay

Starting pay is .55cpm - .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays include detention, layover, and load-specific bonuses. Average weekly pay ranges from $2600 to $3200, paid weekly via direct deposit.

Home Time

Drivers get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days in our area. Outlying areas may have longer stretches out and up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon prior to hiring in writing and can be adjusted for special events or appointments.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in MO, with over 55% being drop and hook. Freight includes dry van and reefer loads, mostly in the US middle corridor. No NY City, ports, borders, or west of Denver CO. Major highways are preferred, with most freight contracted. No dedicated routes, with Pilot/Flying J fueling points.

Rider & Canine Policies

One passenger aged 12 or older is allowed from day 1. Pet policy allows 2 small or 1 large dog with a $500 fee, payable over time, non-refundable once placed in truck. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
