Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! Our 200 company drivers keep families supplied with essential household goods. We operate safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team, strong and capable of getting things done.

Equipment

- 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. Features include ergonomic seats, perfectly positioned steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, large built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. On-site repair and wash facilities are available.

Pay

- Starting pay: .55cpm - .58cpm. Paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pay for detention, layovers, and other allowances based on load and hours. Average weekly pay ranges from $2,600 to $3,200. Paid weekly via direct deposit. No holdbacks.

Home Time

- Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Some drivers may stay out longer in outlying areas and receive up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon in writing before hiring and will be honored. Drivers can notify dispatch of their needs, and accommodations are made for special events or appointments.

Loads & Routes

- 98% of freight originates in MO. Over 55% is drop and hook; the rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We operate dry van and reefer trailers, mostly in the US middle corridor, avoiding NY City, ports, borders, and west of Denver CO. Freight is mainly contracted, transported on major highways, with no dedicated routes. Fueling at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Rider Policy

- One passenger aged 12 or older, available from day one.

Canine Policy

- $500 fee per pet; up to 2 small or 1 large dog. Deduction of $100 weekly until paid. Policy non-refundable once the pet is placed. No policies for cats, reptiles, or birds.
