Job summary

Ames Construction, Inc. is seeking a reliable Water Truck Driver to support our heavy civil and industrial projects across the Eastern region. You will operate a water truck, perform inspections, and assist crews on site, ensuring DOT compliance and safety at all times.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a water truck safely on and off the project sites
• Pre and Post Trip inspection of the truck in compliance with DOT regulations
• Fuel and grease truck daily
• Perform tasks involving filling, hauling, and spraying water on a project jobsite
• Spraying water by hand with a hose
• Other duties as assigned including helping crews

Qualifications

• Class A CDL License
• Current Medical Card
• Tanker endorsement required
• 2+ year’s construction experience
• Knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Willingness to learn and accept direction from supervisors
• Communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Ability to manage time, multitask, and prioritize

Working Conditions

• Travel – The position is located in either Clyde, NC area or the Charlotte, NC area, with the potential of other locations throughout the Eastern Region.
• Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Lifting and carrying material and objects.
