Job summary

Ames Construction, Inc. is seeking a Water Truck Driver to support project sites in Clyde, NC or Charlotte, NC. You will operate a water truck, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and assist crews on site with water-related tasks to keep projects running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have a Class A CDL, tanker endorsement, and a current medical card, plus 2+ years in heavy construction. DOT knowledge, reliability, and strong teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Medical card required.
• Tanker endorsement required.
• 2+ years of construction experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a water truck safely on and off project sites.
• Pre and post-trip inspection of the truck in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Fuel and grease truck daily.
• Perform tasks involving filling, hauling, and spraying water on project sites.
• Spray water by hand with a hose.
• Other duties as assigned including helping crews.
