Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers safely and on time, with the perk of being home every night. You will interact with customers and serve as a company ambassador while upholding our safety standards.

In this role you will operate construction equipment including semi-trucks and trailers, maintain logs, and perform pre-trip inspections. A strong focus on safety and service will help you advance within our growing organization.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum DOT-regulated Commercial Driving Experience of 2 years.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties assigned as needed
