Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers with a focus on safety, timeliness, and courteous service. You will be a company ambassador and will be home every night since we’re local.

Responsibilities include dropping off and picking up equipment, operating semis and trailers per CDL-A, maintaining logs and pre-trip inspections, and suggesting additional rentals. United Rentals is an Equal Opportunity Employer offering strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") per CDL-A.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
