Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers and represent the company with safe, timely and courteous service. You’ll be home every night, interact with customers, and support our growth with a strong safety focus.

In this role you will drop off and pick up equipment, operate trucks and trailers, maintain logs, and suggest solutions for customers’ equipment needs. A valid CDL-A, clean record and a minimum of two years of DOT driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated commercial driving experience.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers (low boys) per CDL-A.
• Adhere to safety requirements including FMCSA regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
