Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a CDL driver to securely deliver building materials regionally. You will operate a tractor-trailer, perform pre/post-trip checks, and provide excellent customer service on multi-drop routes.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, 2 years of driving experience (1 year flatbed preferred), and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Full-time schedule with weekends off in a safety-conscious, compliance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 2 years commercial truck driving experience.
• Minimum 1 year flatbed experience is preferred.
• Must maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to strap flatbed loads as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Experience with multi-drop routes is a plus.
• Capable of working independently and managing time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver building materials to customers, DCs, or job sites by tractor-trailer.
• Deliver in route truck/multi-drop fashion in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain logs, fuel, mileage, and other required records.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and keep vehicle clean and safe.
• Respond to customer inquiries and direct to the right contact when needed.
• Ensure compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay starts at $28.00 per hour

$8,000.00 Bonus

Shift: Full-Time, Monday through Friday weekends home

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our customers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. The Ideal candidate will provide customer responsiveness and efficient material handling and delivery activities. This is a hands-on regional delivery driving position.
• Deliver material in "route truck/multi-drop" fashion to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight loading dock areas
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
• Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to appropriate contact
• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• 1 year of flatbed experience
• Clean driving record
• Willing to strap flatbed loads
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
