Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Domicile Driver in Mississippi to transport, deliver, and unload metal roofing panels to dealers and job sites. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, two years of tractor-trailer experience, and the ability to operate safely under DOT rules.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure on-time deliveries while keeping equipment clean and compliant. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Two years of tractor-trailer driving experience, including winter driving.
• Valid medical card required.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver metal roofing panels to dealers, distribution centers, and job sites.
• Safely unload using equipment and complete required delivery documentation.
• Maintain logs, fuel records, mileage, and other regulatory records.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep the vehicle clean.
• Comply with Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation.
• Respond to inquiries about packing lists and invoices and route questions appropriately.
• Follow DOT guidelines and report any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to schedules and routes.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Shift: Day Shift

Duties And Responsibilities

The domicile driver will be expected to transport, deliver, and/or unload metal roofing panels to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This is anover the roaddelivery driving position.

• Safely assist in the unloading of the product using a Moffett to customer's location and/ or return products
• Deliver material in "route truck/multi-drop" fashion to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight loading dock areas
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
• Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to appropriate contact
• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Have an acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record
• 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Valid Medical Card
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in degrees of precision and control where damage could be considerable
• Attention and care required to prevent injury to others when performing work
• Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods of time
• Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
