Class 8 Fleet Maintenance Mechanic

Thatcher Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Class 8 Fleet Maintenance Mechanic at our Sacramento facility. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• P.M. inspections
• Monthly trailer inspections
• Minor to medium repairs on tractors and trailers
• Tracking and ordering parts
• Inventory management and detail-oriented tasks
• Basic computer duties
• Availability for call outs
• Tire and brake replacements
• Wiring troubleshooting and repairs
• Basic fleet maintenance

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Two or more years of maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of liquid bulk tankers (internal & external valves, etc.)
• Tanker experience is a plus but not necessary
• CDL with TX endorsements preferred but not required
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs regularly
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and physical
