Job summary

Welling Young, LLC is partnering with a rapidly growing claims organization to manage construction defect claims with a focus on favorable outcomes. The role focuses on mid-to-high complexity construction defect claims, coordinating with insureds and carriers, and applying exposure analysis to settlements.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required with a minimum of 2-3+ years in construction defect claim handling experience.
• Experience utilizing computer technology, such as Microsoft Office, e-mail, Web-enable applications, and database software
• Mid to High-level understanding of commercial lines products, policy language, exclusions, ISO forms, and effective claim handling practices

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service and ensure timely coverage analysis and communication with insureds and carrier.
• Directly handle construction claims of mid to high-level complexity
• Identify, select, and direct appropriate internal and/or external resources for specific activities required to effectively evaluate claims, such as appraisers, counsel, and experts
• Update appropriate parties as needed, providing new facts as they become available, and their impact upon the file’s exposure and resolution options.
• Verify the nature and extent of exposure by obtaining and reviewing appropriate records and damages documentation
• Fulfill specific service commitments with the carrier and relevant business partners
• Promptly negotiate proper disposition of claims with applicable parties
• Appropriately manage expenses for cost-effective resolution.
• Develop and employ creative resolution strategies.

Welling Young, LLC has partnered with a rapidly growing claims organization responsible for multiple claims programs including commercial auto, Construction, and general liability. This position will handle claims within each program’s expectations and focus on the best possible claim outcomes with a focus in Construction Defect.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality customer service and ensure timely coverage analysis and communication with insured(s) and carrier.
• Directly handle construction claims of mid to high-level complexity
