Job summary

Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to join The Glatfelter Agency team onsite in Leader Heights, York, PA. You will report and monitor claims data, interact with clients, and advocate for timely resolutions with carriers.

The role requires a PA Property/Casualty license, AIC or plan to obtain, and at least two years in claims management or related work. Proficiency with MS Office and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed PA Property/Casualty Agent.
• AIC designation or ability to obtain within two years.
• Two years prior claims management experience or related activity preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Take first report of loss from customer or referral.
• Forward all claims reports to the applicable Insurance Carrier(s).
• Resolve coverage issues in collaboration with the Account Executive.
• Confirm claim setup and communicate this to the client.
• Monitor status of open claims, losses and payments.
• Maintain and document accurate client records in the agency management system.
• Advocate for clients to speed up resolutions.
• Confirm subrogation and update loss history.
• Provide monthly open claim reports to Account Executives.
• Assist with Safety Committee setup and carrier resources.
• Attend carrier loss control visits and post loss inspections as needed.
• Provide risk management guides and resources to clients as needed.
