Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Must have or be eligible to receive claims adjuster license.
• Successful completion of basic insurance courses or achievement of industry designation (INS, IEA, AIC, ARM, SCLA, CPCU)

Responsibilities

• Handle low to moderate exposure claims.
• Review policies and documents to confirm coverage and communicate positions.
• Draft coverage position letters independently.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve claims promptly and cost-effectively.
• Set reserves within authority or advise changes to manager.
• Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information.
• Provide timely service and respond to inquiries per policy and procedures.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and potential fraud for referrals.
