You will undergo comprehensive classroom training and hands-on experience in claims handling, medical management, and legal concepts.

You’ll learn to use claims management software, read complex documents, and develop skills in communication, negotiation, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims software/databases.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom training on workers’ compensation claims handling strategies and medical terminology.
• Learn to use claims management software and databases for claims handling and reporting.
• Read and interpret statutes, regulations, medical records, and claim notes.
• Manage medical treatment to balance care quality and costs.
• Develop and practice investigative, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Evaluate facts, write clear reports, and develop proactive action plans.
• Calculate monetary reserves for each claim and adjust as needed.
