Starr Companies is seeking a Claims Manager for Workers' Compensation to oversee Third Party Administrator claim handling, analyze trends, and report exposures to Starr Indemnity & Liability. The role requires a college degree and strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Ideal candidates have CA WC experience and are self-motivated team players prepared to participate in special projects and licensing where required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of oversight experience in Workers' Compensation claims.
• CA Workers' Compensation experience preferred.
• College degree required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide management oversight of Third Party Administrators' Workers' Compensation claim personnel by monitoring claims on-line using the TPA's system.
• Review monthly loss runs, trends, reportable claims and/or problematic claims.
• Interface with Underwriters regarding claim status exposures and discuss trends.
• Prepare and present internal management reports for claims with net exposure to Starr Indemnity & Liability Company in excess of $250,000, as required.
• Maintain and/or obtain any state adjuster licenses as directed by management.
• Participate in special projects.
