Job summary

Brown & Brown is seeking a Claims Analyst to join our growing team. The role focuses on reviewing and managing claims, ensuring proper handling, and escalating when needed.

You will monitor claim activity, coordinate with carriers and vendors, and act as the primary contact for clients and team members. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in claims administration, strong knowledge of P&C claims and loss data, and excellent communication skills to work with clients, adjusters, and internal teams in

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in claims administration, claims handling or claims analysis in a Property & Casualty brokerage, carrier or TPA environment.
• Knowledge of Property & Casualty claims, coverage and loss run data.
• Ability to follow process and procedures guidance.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, including comfort working with claim data and reports.
• Ability to display tact and poise under pressure when working through sensitive or time-critical claim issues.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review new and open claims for coverage, reserve adequacy, compensability and appropriate handling, and escalate to the Team Leader or Claims Manager as needed.
• Monitor claim activity, diary dates and milestones to keep claims moving toward resolution.
• Identify large, litigated or high-severity claims early and provide timely reporting and escalation.
• Coordinate with adjusters, carriers and 3rd party vendors on claim status and recovery opportunities.
• Primary point of contact for daily claim questions, status requests and documentation from client or Prod/AE.
• Support claim intake and first notice of loss processes to ensure timely reporting to the carrier or TPA systems.
