Job summary

Brown & Brown is seeking a Claim Associate to support the Claim Department with administrative, technical and coordination tasks. You will help ensure accurate documentation, timely processing, and smooth communication with insureds, brokers, and partners.

The role emphasizes data entry in the claims system, review of correspondence, and preparation of reports and loss runs, with emphasis on attention to detail, organization, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 3–6 years of progressive experience in claims administration/support or insurance operations.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance claim workflows and terminology.
• Demonstrated experience working with claim management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Advanced organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
• High degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
• Experience supporting audits, reporting cycles, or client-facing deliverables preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for administrative and operational claim inquiries, resolving issues independently when appropriate.
• Monitor Oxford’s claim mailboxes, prioritizing, handling, and distributing mail as appropriate.
• Enter, review, and maintain data within the claim management system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal standards and service level expectations.
• Prepare, review, and distribute written acknowledgements and routine claim correspondence to insureds, brokers, captive managers, TPAs, and fronting carriers.
• Assist with the development, preparation, review, and quality control of internal and external reports, loss runs, and management summaries.
• Monitor and manage communications and documentation from fronting carriers, ensuring proper routing, issue identification, and follow-up.
• Perform document handling tasks including redaction, quality review, document indexing, DocuSign workflow creation, and secure distribution.
