Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is offering a Claim Intern program in the United States. This role provides first-hand business experience, on-the-job training, and exposure to both Personal and Business Insurance claims of varying complexity.

You will determine coverage, estimate damages, and support clients with strong communication skills. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and majors in business-related fields.

Qualifications

• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Majors include Business Administration, Liberal Arts (business focus), Business Management, Risk Management & Insurance.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Structured onboarding to Travelers systems.
• Exposure to Personal and Business Insurance claims of basic to moderate complexity.
• Learn and implement strategies for investigating, negotiating and resolving claims.
• Develop knowledge of what happened, estimating damage, and helping customers through the process.
• Observe the work of the Claim Professional through desk and ride-alongs with experienced staff.
• Work with a manager/mentor to develop knowledge of claims through core assignments.
• Build a foundation in customer service, analytics and problem solving.
• Complete challenging and meaningful project work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
