Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking candidates for its Claim Intern program in the United States. This internship provides hands-on training, exposure to personal and business insurance claims, and a chance to learn how to investigate, negotiate and resolve claims with strong customer communication. Applicants must have or be pursuing a Bachelor's degree.

A GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is expected, and housing assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
• Majors: Business Administration, Liberal Arts with business focus, Business Management, Risk Management and Insurance, or related.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding to Travelers systems and protocols.
• Exposure to claims of basic to moderate complexity.
• Learn investigations, negotiation and resolution of claims.
• Estimate damages and determine applicable coverages.
• Ride-alongs with experienced employees.
• Work with a mentor to develop knowledge of claims.
• Develop customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Complete challenging project work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
