Job summary

IMEG Corp in Rock Island, Illinois is offering a Summer 2027 Surveying Intern program. Over 10-12 weeks, you will assist with engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading design, gaining exposure to transportation, municipal, and bridge projects.

You will work with experienced engineers, learn cross-disciplinary coordination, and contribute to client-facing deliverables while supporting project budgets and team goals.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
• Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading design.
• Support project design work related to discipline systems according to code and company standards.
• Research resources for commercially available equipment.
• Help maintain client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
• Coordinate design and scheduling activities with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
