Job summary

IMEG Corporation invites applications for a Civil Engineering Intern in Rock Island, IL for a 10-12 week summer program. You will support engineering analysis, field inspections, report writing, and site drainage design while learning from experienced engineers.

This paid internship emphasizes real project work and client coordination. Requirements include at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil Engineering; prior internship in building design is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil Engineering.
• Prior internship experience in building design consulting preferred.
• Strong interest in civil design and consulting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil design work in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Research commercially available equipment and resources.
• Support client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
• Coordinate design and scheduling with other disciplines and suppliers.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
