Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Civil Superintendent to lead field execution for simple/combined cycle power projects. You will manage civil scopes, coordinate with craft supervision and field engineering, and ensure safe, high‑quality work to keep critical energy infrastructure on schedule.

This role requires hands-on leadership of dirt, concrete, foundations, and underground works, with a focus on productivity and reliable delivery on multiple sites across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years civil construction experience in power/industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to lead field teams and manage schedules.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil construction execution for simple/combined cycle projects.
• Maintain CPM schedules and report progress and milestones.
• Coordinate with craft supervision, engineering, safety, and controls.
• Review drawings and technical requirements to ensure scope clarity.
• Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules and ensure resource availability.
• Lead daily/weekly planning with foremen and crews.
• Track productivity, costs, and schedule, and address risks with corrective actions.
• Develop Job Hazard Analyses and enforce safety standards.
