Job summary
French & Parrello Associates in Hackettstown, NJ is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Civil/Site Department, taking design through construction on land development and infrastructure projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
The role offers growth as you mentor junior staff, support project schedules and budgets, and help deliver permitting, design, and drafting, with opportunities to expand technical judgment and assume greater
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
- PE license in New Jersey required.
- Minimum of 4 years of civil/site engineering and land development design experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
- Strong knowledge of NJ land development regulations, permitting processes, and agency requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee civil/site engineering plans including grading, drainage, utilities, roadwork, and sediment control.
- Perform and review site design calculations (hydrology, hydraulics, etc.).
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, reports, and permits.
- Coordinate design efforts with project managers, clients, and other disciplines.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist in scheduling and budgeting.
