Job summary

GBA Builders in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Field Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience on active construction projects across the US. You will work with project managers on drawing coordination, safety reports, logs, QA, and field coordination while traveling to job sites.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering, proficient with Microsoft Office, and eager to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Interest in construction internship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with drawing coordination, safety reports, daily logs and reports, progress photos, QA and site communication.
• Assist with estimating by contacting subcontractors and completing quantity take-off.
• Quality control assistance.
• Assist with schedule evaluations and updates.
• Assist project buyout and preconstruction tasks.
• Interact with clients and design team to resolve issues and expedite work.
• Attend site visits for new projects.
• Assist with project budget management.
• Provide safety assistance on job sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
