Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead land development and roadway projects, manage design through construction documents, and mentor junior staff.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering, at least 6 years of relevant experience, and be a registered Professional Engineer in Florida or eligible within 6 months. Office-based with potential field work, and a strong commitment to quality and client collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with both private and public sector clients/projects.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing all aspects of civil engineering design including layout/geometry, grading, drainage, paving, water, sewer, and erosion control.
• Preparing complete submission packages, supporting calculations, cost estimates, project schedules, and other duties.
• Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
• Assists Project Manager with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
