Job summary

Stantec in Tampa or Clearwater, Florida, has an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer – Site / Civil engineering design. You will work on land development and community development projects, interfacing with clients and government agencies.

Responsibilities include design of site, grading, drainage, erosion control, utilities; generating plans and reports; coordinating with internal teams and external consultants; and supporting project scope, schedule and budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 6+ years of civil/site design experience.
  • Florida Professional Engineer registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience with both private and public sector projects.
  • Strong communication and client-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop design from sketches and models.
  • Prepare site plans, grading, drainage, and utilities.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with teams and clients.
  • Assist in scope, budget, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate project specifications with construction documents.
  • Conduct quality assurance and constructability reviews.
