Job summary

Haley Ward is seeking a Project Engineer in Winsted, CT to plan, organize, and control project activities within budgets and QA/QC policies. The role focuses on municipal infrastructure, water, sewer, roads, and related land development projects.

The candidate will work under a Project Manager, ensuring schedules and quality standards are met, with opportunities for professional development and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license with minimum 4 years of related experience OR EIT on track to PE with minimum 5 years experience.
• Sound mathematical skills are required.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Supports project team toward preparation of plans and specifications for each project.
• Conducts engineering computations to design complex projects.
• Communicates with governmental/regulatory staff relative to design concepts and requirements.
• Performs overall quality control of work (budget, schedule, plans) and reports project status to Project Manager.
• Monitors compliance to codes, QA/QC policies, and performance standards.
• Represents the design concept of plans and specifications.
• Advises field engineers, contractors, and inspectors during construction.
