Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 4 years of related experience OR Engineer in Training (EIT) on track to attain PE license with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Sound mathematical skills are required.
• A working knowledge of software such as AutoCAD is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Supports project team toward preparation of plans and specs for each project.
• Conducts engineering computations to design complex engineering projects.
• Communicates with regulatory staff and represents clients at agency hearings or meetings.
• Performs overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans) and reports to Project Manager.
• Monitors compliance to codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specs.
• Responsible for the design concept of the plans and specifications.
• Advises field engineers, contractors, and inspectors during construction.
• Communicates with the Project Manager on project strategy.
• Assists in preparing project proposals including scope of work, time schedule, and manpower estimates.
• Promotes new business for the company and area of expertise.
