Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Civil Preconstruction Estimator to lead our preconstruction department. You will analyze drawings, specs and proposals to develop detailed cost estimates for civil projects and orchestrate bid processes to win work.

The role requires 3+ years in civil estimation, proficiency with Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD and Excel, and strong communication. We offer competitive pay with annual bonus, 401(k) with matching and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Analyze drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
• Orchestrate estimating and bid processes for civil projects.
• Identify labor, materials and time requirements from proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates.
