Job summary

Quinn Covarrubias is seeking a Civil Litigation Legal Assistant to join our Roseville, CA office. You will support civil litigation attorneys across California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington, with strong organizational and proofreading skills.

We offer training by experienced legal assistants and paralegals and welcome motivated candidates with varying levels of experience. Responsibilities include calendaring deadlines, court filings, document preparation, and trial support.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritise tasks and multitask effectively.
• Strong attention to detail in all work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Deadline- and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Experience with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with legal calendaring software.
• Experience scheduling depositions and subpoenas.
• Knowledge of personal injury litigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Calendaring state and federal litigation deadlines.
• Courts filing (electronic and standard).
• Assisting attorneys with document preparation.
• Proofreading and formatting per court requirements.
• Follow-up on filings.
• Scheduling and subpoenaing witnesses to trial and depositions.
• Assisting with discovery responses.
• Assisting with trial preparation.
• Complete other litigation support activities as delegated.
