Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy through research, factual investigation, and analysis.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, memoranda and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings, and assist in mediations and trial prep.
• Evaluate liability and damages while developing defence strategies.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to manage cases efficiently.
• Maintain organised case files, meet deadlines, and communicate with clients.

We have partnered with an established Pacific Northwest litigation firm that is actively expanding its team and seeking a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Seattle-area practice. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, technology-forward firm handling sophisticated Civil Litigation and Insurance Defense matters across the region. What You'll Do

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy through legal research, factual investigation, and analytical evaluation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other substantive litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings, and participate in mediations and trial preparation.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation exposure while developing effective defence strategies.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage cases efficiently.
• Maintain organised case files, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively with clients and colleagues.
• Use modern legal technology and digital case management tools to support efficient practice.

What We’re Looking For

• Active Washington State Bar admission required.
• At least 3 years of civil litigation experience, in insurance defence or personal injury defence.
• Experience in construction defect litigation is also valued.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Experience managing discovery, motion practice, depositions, and case strategy.
• Excellent organisation, responsiveness, and proactive case management.
• Comfort with digital practice management systems and paperless workflows.
• A collaborative mindset and interest in building a long-term professional home.

Additional advantage: Active Oregon Bar admission alongside Washington licensure. Other relevant regional admissions are welcome.
