Job summary

Fox Ballard PLLC in Seattle or Tacoma seeks a Litigation Attorney to join our growing team on a hybrid schedule (2–3 days in the office). You will handle civil litigation and healthcare-related defense matters, drafting pleadings and progressing cases through depositions and negotiations.

The ideal candidate holds an active WA Bar license with 3+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense, health law, or civil litigation, and possesses strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the Washington State Bar.
• 3+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense, health law, or civil litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, case management, and advocacy skills.
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motions.
• Willingness to work a hybrid schedule in Seattle or Tacoma.

Responsibilities

• Manage and contribute to a diverse caseload involving civil litigation, professional liability, and healthcare-related disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research, take and defend depositions, and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys and legal professionals on complex matters.
• Build strong client relationships while taking ownership of meaningful legal work.

• 5 to 7 years: $145,000 to $160,000
