Qualifications

• J.D. required and bar admission in good standing in OR/WA or eligibility for reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial and business litigation matters.
• Manage litigation matters through all stages of case development.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery filings.
• Conduct and defend depositions.

Our client, a premier Pacific Northwest law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3+ years of litigation experience to join its Litigation Department in either Portland, Oregon or Vancouver, Washington.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking sophisticated business and commercial litigation work while developing industry-specific expertise across sectors such as technology, healthcare, energy, natural resources, real estate, maritime, manufacturing, and tribal enterprises. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced litigators on complex disputes while benefiting from a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial and business litigation matters
• Manage litigation matters through all stages of case development
• Draft and argue:
  • Pleadings
  • Motions
  • Briefs
  • Discovery-related filings
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Manage written discovery and document review
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with partners and clients
• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses
• Work directly with clients across a variety of industries
• Support business development and client service initiatives

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the Oregon and Washington State Bars, or eligibility for reciprocity
• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Experience handling:

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $165,000 - $185,000 annually
• Compensation based on experience, qualifications, and relevant litigation experience
